Meet the Fifth Grade Team!
Thank you so much for visiting our 5th grade website! This is going to be an incredible year as we learn together. Here is a little bit of information about ourselves to help you get to know us, as teachers!

[email protected] When people ask me why I became a teacher, my response usually is ~ “I love to see that light in a child’s eye twinkle when they get it and make the connection to their own lives!” And, 5th grade has been one of my favorite grades to teach because I see that twinkle every day in the students that I teach. I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Joey for 14 years now. He is an avid golfer and football fan. We have one daughter, Annabelle, who is a beautiful ballerina and a member of the Griffin Ballet Theatre’s Apprentice Company. In my spare time, I am a volunteer and work with the Griffin Ballet Theatre’s as a board member. I also love to bake and dream of opening my own little bakery shop with cakes, cookies, cupcakes, and other fun desserts when I retire from teaching! |
Mrs. Heather IngramReading / English Language Arts
[email protected] So many times I remember coming home from school, setting up my stuffed animals, and putting on my mom’s high heels to begin teaching for the evening. Something about the high heels made me feel like more of a teacher. I would even take my imaginary students outside in my backyard for recess with my whistle. I knew then that teaching is what I wanted to do. I love it when my student’s have that “WOW” moment. There are some days when I think how did I get here, but I wouldn’t want to do anything else. I have been married for four years and we have a sweet little girl. I love to spend time with my family and sing in our church choir. I am a devout Tennessee Vols fan, but you don’t have to judge me I know we live in Georgia. |

[email protected] Thinking back to my childhood, I remember getting off the bus and going straight to the barn behind my house. I'd gather up all my stuffed animals and teach them what I'd learned in school that day! That was the first time I knew what I wanted to do with my life. Teaching is my passion! I enjoy finding new ways to make math fun and enjoyable for my students. Besides being a teacher, I'm a wife and mom. I have been blessed with two precious, yet sometimes rambunctious boys. They keep me on my toes! During my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors or playing with the boys in the park. I also enjoy watching movies on the Hallmark movie channel, reading books, and listening to a variety of music. |
